Internet training for journalist

For five days I was attending training on how to use the internet which is conducted by The Media Institute of Southern Africa Tanzania (Misa-Tan) in collaboration with Finnish Foundation for Media and Development (VIKES) from February 11-15, 2013.
The seminar is involving editors and lecturers of media institution in Dar es Salaam.
We started to learn how internet changed the society for various uses in the modern world as compared to the years before its invention and its wide use.
Its use meets different needs to be done for the purpose of a better works, to get information, to search for education etc.

Things that one can easily search from the internet and get information include media world news, encyclopedia, banking services, map, train timetable, booking offices for train and air tickets, weather report, phone director, social media, discussion group, meeting people, television, music and film channels and all kinds of game.
Then we learned how to use different networks for access to information materials to work, get information sources, mobile phone numbers of leaders, institutions and background material for the cases already reported to the article.
Similarly, we are taught how to use networking in www.brogger.com, www. amazon.com, googles, facebook for various needs and how to view music and football competitions through Youtube website.
We learn more how to open a blog and to publish,  insert picture and to put caption, to search the statistic of internet users in the world, to use the internet map for understanding cities and regions around the world, the weather and how to get the books or publications.
Also to find information that has been published in newspapers on the head or a major event.
Thanks to MISA-TAN for giving us this training that was provided by the trainer,  Peik Johansson because he helped me to find quickly material which  I need to perform my daily work.
Also I have used this training to educate others journalists on how to get background material for their stories through internet.

So; we need more training about using internet.
